Of all the celebrity meets we have done there was bound to be one bad apple that spoils the whole bunch and it has. This wasn’t a typical meet as I contacted Robertenglund.com to ask a question regarding their offer to allow you to send things in for him to sign and then send it back to you at a price. I asked instead of an autograph can we send a disposable camera and a item for him to take a picture with which would have been a Hello Kitty plush and I received a reply from their webmaster accusing me of wanting to have a picture of him signing a item for reselling and the site was for actual fans which was not even the question I asked and was not even the plan. So of course I reply back saying that was not the question I asked elaborating on the hello kitty idea and instead of an apology for the misunderstanding I get a reply back with ”One should of said that in the first place”. A simple yes or no answer would of been sufficient the first time. It was just a question and "no sorry" would have been fine. It’s not a usual request anyway. Of course I was fuming at the rudeness and galls of this so called webmaster who they claim is not Robert Englund and that he is not computer saavy. Yeah right. So I left a simple remark on how the webmaster was rude in the forum. Four days later I receive a email from Robert Englund’s wife Nancy which is the same name of the girl in the first Nightmare on Elm Street…”When Robert signs autographs at his home he feels he has the right to look like a hairball. Therefore, he doesn't like to have pictures taken of him. Sorry. When he has been hired to sign at a convention, you are (generally) welcome to photograph him. No plans to come to Colorado but check his website. You never know. Everything you order from RobertEnglund.com comes with a proprietary sticker which serves as a COA. Our webmonster is quirky. Please don't annoy him. Nancy”.
Honestly I truly hope it wasn’t him but why would they defend someone who was unnecessarily rude from a website management company or an outside source unless they were related in some way. Or maybe it was her husband Robert Englund himself and my bets are on him. I would like to be wrong. What a nightmare. They say never meet your idols because you may be disappointed and that is absolutely true. Oh and as I am writing this I have been banned from their forum. Like there was really a forum, just a posting section for major butt kissing.
